Behavioral Specialist Jamie Duncan will be speaking about responsibility, control and self discipline on Sunday March 10th from 6-8pm at VBC.
Jamie has been helping children with behavioral and emotional issues in Frederick County for the last twenty years. He has worked in both Juvenile Justice and Mental Health residential settings. He has worked with special education students in the school setting. For four years he was a foster parent who accepted placements from the Department of Juvenile Justice, the Department of Social Services, and therapeutic placements through Frederick County Mental Health services with the Health Department. He believes that this was his most important experience as it allows him to have empathy for the struggles of parents who are dealing with challenging children at home, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
