Fourth Sunday of Advent

We light the candle of Hope

We are reminded of the hope we have in Jesus.

We await his return with the Hope he has given us . Light the shortest purple candle

We light the candle of Peace

God gives the gift of his peace to all who trust him as lord. Light the next shortest purple candle.

We light the rose candle-the candle of Joy

Jesus, the Christ child, is our Joy. The angel said unto the shepherds on that special night, “I bring you good tidings of great Joy” unto us a child is born. He is our Joy.

And now on this fourth Sunday of Advent we light the candle of Love.

It’s light reminds us of the Love that god has for all who belong to him.

Jesus is that perfect Love — he came on that first Christmas Day

As a baby in a manger. Yet, He would grow up to die on a cross, because of His Love for us.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

Love is patient — our Lord is patient with us.

Love is kind — His kindness has no limits.

Love keeps no record of the wrong — He forgives our sin.

Love rejoices in the good and true — the angels rejoice when one comes to Christ.

Love endures forever — His Love for us is everlasting.

We light this candle today to remind us of Gods perfect Love

Found in Jesus.
